Refurbished with funds from the estate of John Lauther, Coleman's pool is open to the public between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Slides and fountains delight children of all ages.

Originally, in 1940, the E.H. Gingrich family bequeathed funding for construction of Gingrich Memorial Pool.

This 92-acre park has a swimming pool for adults and children, along with a baby pool. There are also tennis courts, baseball fields, a miniature golf course, a volleyball court, picnic areas, an amphitheater, hiking trails, and a playground.

The Lauther Water Complex is open from Memorial Day until August 28, 2005. Hours are from noon until 7:00 pm. Several different water features are located in 3 separate swim areas. The areas accommodate young children, intermediate, and advanced swimmers. Features include 2 water slides, and large slide is 176 long. The new snack bar has an expended menu and will cater to private groups.

The pool admission fee is: adults (18-62) $5.00; students (6-17) $3.00; pre-school (under 6) $2.00; seniors (63+) $4.00. Special group rates: Youth $2.50; Adults $3.50.

Pool season passes are available at the pool or the City's Recreation Department, 400 S. 8th Street, Room 110 (717-273-6711 ext. 2474) at the following 2007 prices:

Adult - City resident $75; non-resident $85

Student - City resident $40; non-resident $50

Family** - resident $135; non-resident $150

Family Weekend Only** - resident $60; non-resident $75

Adult business person (after 5pm & weekends) - resident $50; non-resident $60

*Any active YMCA member will receive a $25 discount on a regular family season pass. The YMCA will be paying the $25.

** Family passes up to 7 members; $10.00 for each additional member.

The pavilion within the Lauther Water Park is available for use by groups. To rent the pavilion contact the Recreation Dept. at (717)273-6711 ext.2474. All food will need to be contracted with the operator of the concession stand.

The pool can be rented after normal operating hours for $125.00 per hour which includes lifeguard staff. To rent the pool contact the Recreation Dept. at (717)273-6711 ext.2474.
