The Gate House

At the Park exit on top of Furnace Hill, you'll see the Gate House.  From the Gate House to the bottom of the hill once stood homes for furnace employees.  The Coleman Furnaces were located between the Gate House and West Lehman Street.  A few years ago, $30,000 in renovations brought the building up to code.  Currently, the house is rented, which provides income for the Park.  Behind the house and to the west, a stone wall stands that was used as a buffer between the furnace, which was directly behind the wall, and the estates.
